How a year can go by.
But it’s been far from idle. I recently wrote what I think will be my synopsis for Raquel and Finn, good enough to be on the back of the book.
It might never have happened nor it is apparent how the last 10 months of writing and rewriting have played into these three sentences. But all the revision, dialogue, and daydreaming that’s gone into shaping the characters and story arc is what made this possible.
The shortest answer to the question When will Raquel & Finn be done? is “soon”.
I’m still working away it at. I’ve realized I can’t force the writing. Say what you will about amateurs not getting down to business but I also have an entire life to live around crafting this story, so in fact keep that blather to yourself and pat yourself on the back for enduring the self flagellation.
It’s close. only a couple of chapters to go. But it’s involved so many deeper dives into my characters that it’s like the last minute of any sports-ball game — it’s going to take the longest time.
Still committed to finishing. That much I assure everyone paying attention.
