Exiled to Motown is comprised of over a dozen interviews with second-generation Japanese Americans, most of which were forcibly removed from their homes during WWII. My grandfather was one of them.
For this project I had to help compile the assets including dozens of photos, rescan those that weren’t of sufficient quality or obtain others as necessary. I was responsible for the cover design and typographic layout.
The book has since been picked up by the Washington State University Press.
