Like a lot of people,<\/h2>\r\n

I wrote a lot when I was in elementary school. Wanted to be an author. Left that dream behind somewhere in high school for other things.\u00a0

Maybe also like a lot of people, I found that fire for writing smoldering in the ashes decades later, and tended to it. It has since burned steadily as I slowly rediscover a love for doing things.

The word amateur <\/em>originates from the Latin noun amator<\/em> (lover), which comes from the verb amare<\/em> (to do something for the love of it, rather than for material gain.)<\/p>\r\n

That’s what I’m doing now. I am an unabashed thriving amateur, doing all the things that move my heart. Maybe well, maybe not. It doesn’t matter anymore.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Ian Tadashi Moore is a father, designer, musician, and artist from southeast Michigan. He grew up talking to the bugs in the back lawn and plinking melodies on piano keys. He likes the sounds words make and will probably never act his age. He has written and illustrated three books, Z\u014dsan<\/a> (2015), Tamaishi<\/a> (2018), and Where All the Little Things Live<\/a> (2020). A new YA Novel, Raquel & Finn<\/a> is in the works\u2026 stay tuned!

With each book he created a companion audiobook, a dream he had every since he was a kid getting lost listening to books on audio cassettes. He narrates, performs, and composed a soundtrack for a truly immersive experience.
